Abstract:

To accurately determine the quality of press-in by determining presence of cracks in a press-in process.

This apparatus determines the presence of cracks in a process of pressing a workpiece member in a member subjected to press-in by a linear driven rod. The apparatus includes: a thrust detecting means 11 for obtaining thrust information about the rod; a position detecting means 12 for obtaining the positional information of the rod PD; a storage means 17 for storing thrust information and positional information; a means 17 for storing a preset value of a moving distance about the rod; a means 17 for storing a preset allowable value of lowering of thrust of the rod; and a determination means 15a for determining that cracks are caused in the press-in process when lowering of thrust exceeding the preset allowable value β of the moving distance of the rod based on the thrust information and positional information stored in the storage means.
