Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a method for dividing the frequency of an AC voltage by a non-integer frequency dividing factor by selecting two period groups so that a specific relation can be established between the generating periods of the period groups. CONSTITUTION: A device for dividing frequency of AC voltage is provided with a decoder 1, accumulators 9 and 21, shift registers 12 and 13, RAMs 15 and 16, a multiplexer 17, and a switchable frequency divider 23. The device alternately generates a period group having a frequency (a) divided by a frequency dividing factor (m) and another period group having a frequency (b) divided by another frequency dividing factor (n) and switches the period groups to each other with a signal having a prescribed value by selecting the V-period of an AC voltage having a frequency f1 so that a relation, (a+b)/f2 =V/f1 , can be established between the V-period expressed by am+bm=V and the frequency f1 by correlating the V-period with one frame. Then, the device divides the frequency f1 of the AC voltage to a second frequency f2 .
