To decrease the internal stress in the drying shrinkage due to the unevenness of water content in a green body and to reduce energy loss by recovering an exhaust gas from a drying chamber and recycling in a drying prevention chamber in a drying process for a sanitary ware green body.
In a step from the casting molding to the drying of the green body of the sanitary ware obtained after being unmolded, a gradually drying stage for slowly drying under a high humidity condition until the a water content decreases and the shrinkage of green body is stopped and a shrinkage prevention stage for holding under a higher humidity condition more than that in the gradually drying stage so that the water content of the green body in the whole sanitary ware becomes nearly the same, as the pre-stage of a main drying stage for rapidly drying under a high temperature and low humidity to decrease the water content of the green body into nearly zero are provided.
