To provide a method and an apparatus for efficiently eluting and recovering useful or toxic metals from a metal collecting material having useful metals collected from seawater while reducing the amount of waste as much as possible.
The apparatus for eluting and recovering metal comprises a metal collecting material elution tank 1 for bringing an eluant into contact with a metal collecting material having adsorbed aimed metals or other metals, a first eluant feed mechanism 3 for feeding a first eluant into the tank 1, a first eluate storage tank 5 for receiving the first eluate from the tank 1, a second eluant feed mechanism 4 for feeding a second eluant into the tank 1, a second eluate storage tank 6 for receiving the second eluate from the tank 1, a metal re-adsorbent tank 2 for bringing the second eluate into contact with a metal re-adsorbent, and a third re-adsorbate waste liquid storage tank 7 for receiving the eluate from the tank 2.
