An apparatus 10 for evaluating the earthquake resistance is equipped with: a plurality of vibration detectors A-D disposed at a building 12 which is an object having the earthquake resistance to be evaluated; and an arithmetic processing device 14 which acquires vibration information sets a-d detected by the vibration detectors A-D and seismic intensity information x declared by a public institution about a seismic motion X for an area where the building 12 is constructed, when the building 12 is subjected to the seismic motion X occurring actually, and evaluates the earthquake resistance of the building 12 by comparing the vibration information sets a-d with the seismic intensity information x.
