PURPOSE: To provide a method and an apparatus for extending and disassembling a construction work lift easily and safely without the need of weight lifting equipment such as a crane, a winch and the like.

CONSTITUTION: After a lower carrier 8 or load support beams 11, 12 provided on a ring table 1 or an upper carrier 7 are engaged with beams 3 of a building frame to support load, a jack 15 installed between the upper carrier 7 and the lower carrier 8 is elongated and contracted to sequentially move the ring table 1 and the upper carrier 7 or the lower carrier 8 upward or downward. The ring table 1 and the upper and lower carries 7, 8 are moved to extend and disassemble guide rails 6. Thus, a construction work lift is extended and disassembled.
