Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method and an apparatus for extending a wire rope by an unmanned helicopter in which the installing operation of the power transmission line of an iron tower or the wire rope of a building safely with less restrictions in geometrical environment and laws and the helicopter can be safely flown.
CONSTITUTION: A drum 3 in which a pilot rope 2 is wound is installed at the lower part of a body of an unmanned helicopter 1 to be remotely radio operated, one end of the rope 2 wound on the drum 3 by floating the helicopter 1 is suspended and the rope 2 is engaged with an arm at the high plate of a building such as an iron tower, etc. Then, the helicopter 1 is flown toward an installed building while feeding the rope 2 of the drum 3, the arm of the building is passed upward, the drum 3 is then disconnected from the helicopter 1, and the disconnected drum 3 is dropped on the ground via a parachute.
