Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To feed appropriate dampening water in an offset press.
SOLUTION: A method for feeding dampening water of the offset press feeds the dampening water reaching a target viscosity to the offset press at ordinary temperature by adding selectively at least two of water and a surfactant to the dampening water so that a viscosity of the dampening water reaches a target value by detecting the viscosity of the dampening water at ordinary temperature. The dampening water 13 can be fed at ordinary temperature without heating or cooling the dampening water 13 since the viscosity of the dampening water 13 can be brought near to the target value appropriate to the printing by adding the water or the surfactant to the dampening water 13.
