Abstract:

To provide a method and an apparatus for forming magnesium alloy parts by warm pressing with high yield by preventing deformation of formed parts when the pressed parts are taken out from a die.

A die 25 constituted by stacking a heating part 23a in which a bar-like electric heater 21 and a thermocouple 22 are embedded, a heat insulating part 23b and a cooling board 23c in which a cooling piping 24 is incorporated is positioned on a lower die set 20, a knockout 28 which is moved slidably and vertically in the inside of the die set 25 is arranged and a lower die is constituted of the die 25 and the knockout 28. An upper die 17 is constituted of an upper die set 11, a heat insulating material 12, a plate 13 and a punch 14 fixed to the plate 13 of the lowest stacked layer and a stripper 16 which is moved slidably and vertically on the outer periphery of the punch 14. A bar-like electric heater 18 and a thermocouple 19 are embedded in the inside of the punch 14 and the stripper 16.
