Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for forming a tape electric wire in which the distance from a side edge to a conductor in an insulating tape is within the limit of the allowed value.
SOLUTION: When forming a tape-shaped electric wire 1, in which double-sides coating portion 5 having a conductor 2 coated with insulating tapes 3 and 4 on its both sides and a one-side coating portion 6 having a conductor 2 coated with the insulating tape 3 on its one side only are alternately formed in the longitudinal direction, in the regular size, an electric wire 1a having the insulating tape 3 and 4 with the lateral size larger than the regular seize is formed in advance, and the tape-shaped electric wire 1a is die-punched with a metallic mold 32, thus extra parts 14 and 15 of the insulating tape 3 and 4 in the lateral direction are removed.
