Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently form washing holes or a slit without requiring a wide space by a method wherein the washing holes or the slit are formed at the wall of a skirt of a cap main body with the cap main body held from inside and with its skirt wall pressed against a cutter, revolving on its own axis while revolving on a circular orbit.
SOLUTION: A cap C brought through a conveyance passage is put and held on a head part 25 of a spindle 22 when being guided into a circling passage, and as it reaches a knurled groove 41a of a guide member 41 after revolving along the circling passage while turning on its axis, a knurled groove 31 of the cap C is caused to mesh with the knurled groove 41a and revolved while forcibly turned on its axis. In this process, washing holes 8,... and a slit are formed simultaneously and respectively at the upper part of a skirt wall 3 and a position between breakable bridges at the lower part thereof with cutters 42 and 43 provided integrally at the guide member 41. Therefore, the cap C is held stably with a pressing force of the spindle 22 and cutting is made precisely with the cutters 42 and 43.
