To provide a waste plastic granulation method capable of sufficiently removing a chlorine-containing plastic component from a waste plastic to granulate the waste plastic at a low cost, and a waste plastic granulation apparatus therefor.
In a method for treating the waste plastic containing a chlorine-containing plastic and a plastic containing no chlorine, the waste plastic granulation method for heating the waste plastic formed into a fluidized bed to a temperature below the softening point of the chlorine-containing plastic to granulate at least a part of the plastic containing no chlorine is used. A high temperature gas is fed in the waste plastic within a container 1 from a lower air blowing pipe 6 to form the fluidized bed of the waste plastic and the waste plastic is heated to the temperature below the softening point of the chlorine-containing plastic by the gas not only to granulate at least a part of the plastic containing no chlorine but also to discharge the non-granulated waste plastic to the outside of the container accompaneied by the gas. The waste plastic 7 granulated to fall to the bottom part of the container is preferably recovered to the outside of the container.
