The method for heat-treating the contaminated matter comprises the heat treatment step of heat-treating the contaminated matter containing moisture and the exhaust gas treatment step of cleaning exhaust gas produced in the heat treatment step, wherein the flow rate of the exhaust gas sucked from the heat treatment step to the exhaust gas treatment step is controlled according to the measured water content value of the contaminated matter before being fed into the heat treatment step and the pressure value measured in the heat treatment step.
