Title:
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR HEATING THERMALLY SHRINKABLE TUBE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS58212915
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To stick a tube closely to a heated body without containing foams by changing the pitch or density of the heating wire of a linear heater along the lengthwise direction of a heated body and heating the middle part strongly at first.

CONSTITUTION: A continuous heating wire that is dense in the middle part 7 and sparse in both end parts 8, 9 is placed in parallel with the heated parts 1, 2 to pass heat source energy uniformly. First of all, the light fiber connector 1 is heated in the middle part and the thermally shrinkable tube 2 shrinks and sticks closely to fibers. Foams move toward both ends and the whole body becomes compact.
