Abstract:
To improve the efficiency of direct contact condensation.
A direct contact chamber having a downward vapor flow chamber and an upward vapor flow chamber, wherein each of the vapor flow chambers includes a plurality of cooling liquid supplying pipes and a vapor-liquid contact medium, and the contact medium may include a plurality of adjacent sheets, comprises a substantially linear vapor passage attached to a lower portion. The upward vapor flow chamber includes a second cooling medium supplying pipe and a pressure control valve means. The condenser further includes a container for recovering a separated condensate. A calculation model may be used for calculation for inferring the performance of the condenser.
