Abstract:
To easily and rapidly hone an external gear 26.
When a tool gear 37 is engaged with the external gear 26, and the tool gear 37 is reciprocated in the tooth rake direction of the external teeth while the tool gear is rotated around the axis, the external gear 26 on the driven side is jointly turned to advance the engagement of the external teeth with each other. Since the external teeth of the external gear 26 are repeatedly brought into slidable contact with the external teeth of the tool gear 37 under the predetermined contact pressure in the tooth rake direction, burrs and dents on any external teeth can be rapidly and reliably removed by the slidable contact even when they are present in any external teeth.
