To provide an apparatus for hot isostatic pressing, which greatly shortens a cycle time for HIP treatment, and efficiently performs the HIP treatment.
This method comprises making an article to be pressure-treated in one of a pair of pressure vessels be in a heated state, while performing heat-pressure treatment on an article to be treated in the other pressure vessel; allowing both insides of the pressure vessels to communicate with each other to inject a hydraulic-medium gas discharged from the other pressure vessel into the one pressure vessel, in a decompression step after the heat-pressure treatment of the article to be treated has been finished in the other pressure vessel, sucking the hydraulic-medium gas from the other pressure vessel to a compressor, and simultaneously injection it into the one pressure vessel along with pressurizing it, after the pressures of both the insides of the pressure vessels are in almost equilibrium states, and performing heat-pressure treatment of the article to be treated in the one pressure vessel.
