To provide a hydraulic forming method and a hydraulic forming apparatus of metallic sheet by which production efficiency is improved as compared with conventional methods and devices.
In a hydraulic forming apparatus for forming the metallic sheet 1 by holding the metallic sheet 1 between a liquid tank 2 in which liquid is filled and a projecting die 3 and relatively forcing the projecting die 3 in the inside 2a of the liquid tank, a hollow body 5 is additionally provided in the liquid tank 2 or/and a relief valve 7 is provided as an introducing means of the liquid into the inside of the hollow body 5. The liquid pressure in the inside 2a of the liquid tank is adjusted so as not to be excessively raised by introducing the liquid in the inside 2a of the liquid tank to the inside of the hollow body 5 during forming. The production efficiency is improved by shortening the time required to again fill the liquid in the liquid tank 2 for the next forming by returning the liquid introduced in the inside of the hollow body 5 to the inside 2a of the liquid tank after completing the forming.
