To provide a method and apparatus for impedance matching of an antenna in which as an impedance matching member of an antenna device, a parasitic element has a simple structure and production costs are reduced so as to simplify the method.
An antenna device includes a radiation element, a ground member comprised of a sheet metal and a parasitic element for impedance matching. The parasitic element is bridged over the ground member and its both terminals are connected to the ground member, respectively. As impedance matching, the parasitic element is comprised of a metal piece and its structure is simplified, thereby simplifying production and working. Furthermore, by adjusting the position and dimension of the parasitic element, impedance matching is accomplished and the impedance matching method becomes simple.
