Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve efficiency and enhance the output of a power plant by evaporating a liquid working medium by the use of heat produced by a combination of cooling geothermal liquid and condensing geothermal steam so as to obtain a gaseous working medium.
CONSTITUTION: A power system 100 has a separator 101, a geothermal turbine 102, a medium turbine 114 and an evaporator and the like comprising heat exchangers 103, 106-108. Two geothermal sources, namely, heat released when geothermal steam is condensed and heat released when geothermal liquid is cooled, are utilized for a thermodynamic cycle. The gaseous working medium is expanded and transformed its energy into usable form, and also medium exhaust is produced. The medium exhaust is partially condensed so as to heat a liquid working medium formed of a mixture medium. The liquid working medium is evaporated by using heat produced by a combination of cooling geothermal liquid and condensing geothermal steam so as to obtain a gaseous working medium. Thereby, the efficiency of the thermodynamic cycle using the working medium can be improved.
