Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the degradation of the performance of a surfactant contained in an ink by stabilizing flying ink droplets delivered from an ink jet head.
CONSTITUTION: Printing is carried out by feeding, to an ink jet head, a water- base ink which contains a surfactant in a specified concn. lower than the critical micelle concn. in the ink and higher than that in pure water. Thus, the state of the delivered ink droplets is stabilized, preventing the blur of the ink on a recording medium, stabilizing the shape of each ink dot on it, and improving the print quality.
