To provide a method for inspecting a film spooling state in a film manufacturing apparatus by which the spooling state of a standard length film to a film cartridge is highly accurately inspected with a simple and inexpensive configuration, and to provide an apparatus for the same.

After the rear end part 20b of the standard length film 20 exposed from the spooling film cartridge 12 is held by clamping members 662a and 662b which constitute a drawing resistance inspection part 107 a first slide table 648 on which the clamping members 662a and 662b are arranged is displaced through a spring 666 when a motor 672 is driven to displace a second slide table 650. When the drawing resistance of the standard length film 20 is large, the second slide table 650 separates from the first slide table 648, and a detector 680 separates from a dog 678 at a prescribed distance or more, thereby malfunctions in the drawing resistance of the standard length film 20 are detected.
