Title:
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INSPECTING PHASE COMPONENT OF MEDIUM IN OPEN AND CLOSED DUCT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3455634
Kind Code:
B
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the phase (liquid phase, gaseous phase) component even if a medium remains stationary in a duct by determining the surface mirror position (height) of medium with respect to a condenser plate at highest part by measure of the normalized current of a condenser plate at highest part reaching the front mirror of a medium.
SOLUTION: A condenser plate group 7 comprising condenser plates 2, 3 and a condenser plate group 8 comprising condenser plates 4, 5 are arranged symmetrically to a line normal to a duct 1. An AC high frequency voltage is then applied from a control evaluation circuit 6 to the condenser plate 3 and a current induced between the condenser plates 3, 5 is measured, for example, and the current of the condenser plate 3 at the highest part reaching the front mirror of a medium is normalized with the current of the condenser plate 3 at the lowest position. When the normalized current is used as a measure for detecting the relative position of the front mirror of medium and the condenser plate 3, height of the front mirror of medium can be calculated. Conduction volume of medium in the duct 1 is determined from the height thus detecting the phase component of the medium.
