To provide a method for manufacturing a bossed disc-shaped member, the method enabling a boss portion to be formed to have a desired height using simplified facilities, and to provide an apparatus for manufacturing the bossed disc-shaped member.
The method for manufacturing disc-shaped member 62 having the boss portion 60 formed thereon includes: a drawing step which moves a second portion 52, which is positioned on the inner peripheral side of a first portion 50 in a radial direction of a disc-like blank 40, to the first portion 50 relatively downward, thereby forming a level difference δ between the first portion 50 and the second portion 52; a conical portion formation step which moves the second portion 52 to the first portion 50 relatively upward, eliminating the level difference δ, thereby forming an auxiliary boss 58 projecting upward in a third region 48; and a burring step which performs a burring process on the auxiliary boss 58, thereby forming the boss portion 60.
