Abstract:

To provide a method and apparatus for manufacturing an extruded shape excellent in designability without bringing about the increase in a manufacturing cost, and the extruded shape which is inexpensive and excellent in the designability.

In a manufacturing method for manufacturing the extruded shape W1 by passing a base material 3 through an opening 5a provided on an extruding die 5, a rugged pattern corresponding to recessed faces 10A and projecting faces 10B is formed on the surface of the manufactured extruded shape W1 by forming the recessed faces 10A and the projecting faces 10B on the inner wall surface of the opening 5a of the extruding die 5 by electrical discharge machining.
