PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for manufacturing an L-shaped square tube securing sufficient strength even without welding, and the L-shaped square tube.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an L-shaped square tube 1A includes a groove part formation step of forming a groove part 5 by pressing one surface 1a of a square steel tube 1 against the side of the other surface 1b positioned on the backside of the one surface 1a, along a short direction of the one surface 1a, and a bending step of bending the square tube so that both the sides, with the groove part 5 in between, of the one surface 1a can get closer to each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
