Abstract:

To manufacture an open porous component simultaneously having low density, high strength and high rigidity relating to a method for manufacturing lightweight open porous components made of metal, metal alloy, plastic or ceramics of various shapes.

The components are manufactured by pouring a liquid material into a casting apparatus (01). Here, a core stack (04) is installed into a casting mold (03), is cast and is removed. The core stack (04) is designed as multi-dimensional regular core grids (09) having defined core grid faces (12), and each core face (12) consists of a regular core body (10). The component obtained by the method has the grid structure regularly foamed at the defined pore size, and can be clad with a closed shell of a defined thin thickness.
