A method for manufacturing rings includes steps of: shaping a bowl shaped member in which a through-hole is a first opening at one side and an outer circumference of a disc is a second opening on the other side (ST17); forming a cylinder body in which the first opening and the second openings are substantially same by penetrating a core metal in the bowl shaped member, and hitting the outer circumference with a wooden hammer (ST18); forming a slit leaving one bonded part along a circumferential direction at the substantially middle position in the width direction of the cylinder body (ST19); and obtaining a male ring and a female ring by bending and cutting the bonded part along the slit (ST20).
