Title:
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MEASUREMENT OF GROUNDING IMPEDANCE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3233334
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the grounding impedance of a grounding electrode, to be measured, without installing a new grounding electrode.
SOLUTION: A part in which a low impedance can be expected such as an existing grounding electrode, a return ground at a distribution line, an iron reinforcing rod at a building, a steel frame at a building or the like is used as an auxiliary grounding electrode 2. A current is applied, from an AC current source, across the auxiliary grounding electrode 2 and a grounding electrode 1 to be measured. A voltage which is generated across the auxiliary grounding electrode 2 and the grounding electrode 1 to be measured is measured. The maximum value of the grounding impedance of the grounding electrode to be measured is measured on the basis of the voltage and the current.
