Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for enabling even a beginner to easily and accurately specify and input a measurement point in a cephalometric image which is displayed on the display screen of a computer in a short period of time.
SOLUTION: The method includes the steps of: displaying the cephalometric image on the display screen of the computer; specifying and inputting the measurement point in the cephalometric image; marking the specified and inputted measurement point in the cephalometric image; and storing the coordinate value of the specified and inputted measurement point. Each of the steps of specifying, inputting, and storing are repeated till the whole measurement points are specified and inputted. The method also includes a step of properly marking an auxiliary line to facilitate specifying and inputting operations in the cephalometric image in response to the kind of the measurement point before specifying and inputting the measurement point in the cephalometric image.
