PURPOSE: To clarify a method for measuring characteristics in which a capacity of a memory for storing measured data of hydrogen pressure can be largely reduced as compared with prior art in the case of mesuring, analyzing reaction velocity of hydrogen occluding alloy.
CONSTITUTION: Measured data of a hydrogen gas pressure during reaction of hydrogen-occluded alloy in a sample vessel 3 is supplied to a microcomputer 13 while measuring the pressure by a pressure sensor 6 by using a Sievert's unit 14, and reaction velocity of the alloy is calculated in real time. Only when a calculated value reaches a specific range, the pressure at that time is stored in a memory 12. After the measurement of the pressure is finished, characteristics of the hydrogen-occluding alloy are analyzed and evaluated based on data read from the memory 12.
