Abstract:

To simply estimate shear strength parameters (an internal frictional angle and cohesion) of ground or a slope in a present location.

A rod is rotated at a low speed from the ground while radial expansion pressure acts on the outer periphery of the rod inserted into an excavated hole, by fluid pressure in the excavated hole by a plurality of tension-resistant members 603A having one side fixed to the rod, and a plurality of resistive elements 605A fixed to the tension-resistant members 603A. Thereby, a side wall of the excavated hole is destroyed in a circumferential direction, and torque during destruction is measured. Consequently, an internal frictional angle and cohesion, which are shear strength of the ground, are concurrently determined.
