Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain method and apparatus for measuring the water content of aggregate at batcher plant in which the percentage of water content of aggregate is measured accurately by a real time processing system and concrete having stabilized unit water content can be supplied.
CONSTITUTION: At the outlet of an aggregate receiving bin 12, the percentage of water content of aggregate is measured when the aggregate is flowing down by means of a moisture content meter 13. A decisions is then made whether the measuring time of the percentage of water content is appropriate or not and the percentage of water content is equal to a set value or not. When the measuring time is appropriate and the percentage of water content is equal to a set value, current mixing ratio of aggregate, cement and water is sustained. When the measuring time is not appropriate, the opening of a cut gate 14 is regulated and when the percentage of water content is not equal to a set value, the quantity of water is regulated.
