Abstract:
PURPOSE: To monitor the transparency of a laminated window pane after preparatory assembly automatically in a manufacturing process by detecting a luminous intensity at each point of a test pattern observed through the window pane, finding the mean value, and comparing it with a prefixed theoretical value.
CONSTITUTION: A window pane 3 preparatorily assembled by the use of a frame 1 is carried to a monitoring position by a conveyer belt 2, and the image of a test pattern 4 illuminated by a light source 5 is formed on the window pane 3. The luminous intensity of this image is detected by a scanning type detector 6, and the detected analog signals are numerized by a CPU. And the sum of the numerized analog signals is averaged and compared with a prefixed theoretical value, and the transparency is monitored automatically. In the test pattern 4, light and dark bands are arranged interchangeably in parrallel to the symmetry axis of the window pane. A part to be monitored is the whole of the window pane excluding its brim sections 10cm or less wide, and at least one third of the area of the window pane is monitored. Incidentally, it is favorable that a matrix camera should be used as a scanning type detector 6.
