To provide a method and an apparatus for multiply bending a glass sheet, by which the glass sheet is bent in the carrying direction with high accuracy and bent in the width direction of the carrying face of the glass sheet with high accuracy, and thereby, the glass sheet multiply bent with high accuracy can be obtained.

The method for multiply bending the glass sheet comprises heating a horizontal glass sheet 21 to near the softening temperature and then multiply bending the glass sheet 21 in the carrying direction and the width direction of the carrying face of the glass sheet by using rollers. The heated glass sheet 21 is carried while being put between a plurality of straight rollers 30, 31 arranged above and below, and bent in the carrying direction. Further, the glass sheet 21 bent in the carrying direction is bent in the width direction of the carrying face of the glass sheet by carrying it while putting the glass sheet 21 between first convex rollers 33, 35 each having a swollen part at its central part and first concave rollers 34, 36 each having a concave part at its central part. Thereby, the multiply bent glass 10 can be obtained.
