Abstract:

To provide a method for operating an electric motor of a document cutter for cutting a flat object.

At least a single-phase direct current to be supplied to a motor is generated by converting a direct current. An inverter 12 is used preferably for the conversion, and a direct current can be generated from a single-phase alternating current 15 by a rectifier 14. Preferably, a three-phase current is generated variably with respect to voltage and/or frequency. Wide adjustment is possible by harmonizing the motor 18 with an operational circumstance.
