The apparatus 10 for pooling the urinary waste has a mixing vessel 20 in a pooling tank 12. When the urinary waste flows into the mixing vessel 20, a water flow sensor 26 detects the inflow and opens an electromagnetic valve 30. A pH modifier comprising an oxidizing agent and a pH buffer is added to the mixing vessel 20 and is mixed with the urinary waste. After the urinary waste is adjusted to a pH of 2 to 7, it is discharged from the mixing vessel 20 and is pooled in the pooling tank 12.
