To precisely measure the power generation efficiency of a fuel cell by calibrating a mass flowmeter for a gas mixture, using a precise flow controller, by finding a high-precision correction factor, and by calibrating precisely a gas composition analyzer.
The precise flow controllers 1, 2, 3 are constituted to precisely measure the mass flow rates of gases A, B, C by a balance, and calibrates measured data of the flowmeters provided in supply pipes for the respective gases, at a real time, based on the measured data. The gas mixture from the each precise flow controller mixed in a mixer 7 is measured by the mass flowmeter 9 of thermal type or the like, and measured data therein are calibrated by a data with the flow rate of the each gas supplied from the each precise flow controller added by an adder 15, in this instrument for measuring precise flow rate of gas mixture. A valve 14 is also controlled thereby in the precise flow controller. The correction factor CF for the mass flowmeter is further obtained based on the calibration data, to be used as the precise mass flowmeter for the gas mixture in the field or the like. The gas composition analyzer can be calibrated by using the precise flow controllers 1, 2, 3 for the respective gases.
