Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a printer and a method for printing in which a process is not interrupted even if a control command which cannot be processed is received.
CONSTITUTION: When data is received from a host 1-1, the data is developed to an image by processing means of this apparatus, or decided from content of the data. If it can be developed, it is so executed, but if not, it is once stored in a storage memory 1-4. Then, received data is similarly processed. When reception of data is finished, content of the memory 1-4 is tested. If there is data, its gist is displayed on an operation panel 1-8, and sending of a program for processing the data is waited. If it is sent, data in the memory 1-4 is processed by the program.
