Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing a fiber-reinforced resin molding material that can feed a divided fiber bundle in a stable state to a cutter while avoiding influence due to meandering of a fiber bundle and a skew or meandering of a filament generated in the fiber bundle when producing a fiber-reinforced resin molding material.SOLUTION: The apparatus for producing a fiber-reinforced resin molding material produces a sheet-like fiber-reinforced resin molding material in which a gap between filaments of a cut fiber bundle is impregnated with a resin. The apparatus for producing a fiber-reinforced resin molding material comprises: a fiber dividing unit for dividing a continuous fiber bundle CF into the plurality of fiber bundles CF; and a cutter unit 13 for cutting the divided fiber bundles by a cutter. The fiber dividing unit thrusts a cutting tool 18a in the continuous fiber bundle CF intermittently and thereby brings each gap between the plurality of divided fiber bundles CF into a partially non-divided state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
