To provide a technology that can produce a polyester of high quality excellent in heat resistance and homogeneity by controlling condensation-polymerization and radical polymerization properly.
The method for producing polyester involves using an aliphatic glycol and an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid as main components, adding thereto at least one of an unsaturated glycol, whose straight chain carbon number is equal to the aliphatic glycol and the total carbon number is ≤1, and an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid, whose straight chain carbon number is equal to the aliphatic glycol and the total carbon number is ≤1, and synthesizing a straight chain polymer having weight average molecular weight of at least 20,000 by condensation polymerization followed by esterification reaction under environment of reduced pressure, and then forming crosslinking between unsaturated carbons in the polymer by performing radical polymerization reaction by addition of a radical polymerization initiator and by mixing using a biaxial stirrer.
