Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a spinning dope composition, and an apparatus directed to production of a spinning dope composition.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a spinning dope composition, which comprises: a homogenization step involving vigorous mixing of a cellulosic pulp material in an alkaline solution; a vigorous mixing step, which means supply of an agitator used in the homogenization step with an electric power having a power density of at least 150 kW/m3 (a value of kW supplied to the agitator per a mixing unit of a liquid volume); and a dissolving step of mixing a cellulose-based pulp material in an alkaline solution to obtain a spinning dope composition. The maximum power density supplied to the agitator used in the dissolution step is 75 kW/m3 (a value of kW supplied to the agitator per a mixing unit of a liquid volume), and the cellulosic pulp material in the alkaline solution is maintained at a temperature below 0°C during the homogenization and during at least a part of the dissolution.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
