A method for producing a wearing material is provided which comprises a step for preparing a first core part 21 and a second core part 22 which are long in a flow direction Y by cutting a continuous layered material 2, a first moving step for moving and turning the first core section 21 in a first movement direction X1 perpendicular to the flow direction Y so as to displace the first core part on a position in the first movement direction X1, a second moving step for moving and turning the second core section 22 in a second movement direction X2 opposite to the first movement direction X1 so as to displace the second core part on a position in the second movement direction X2, and an arranging step for arranging the core parts 21 and 22 on conveyed continuous webs W1 and W2 so that the core parts 21 and 22 are arranged in a zigzag fashion in the conveying direction Y of the continuous web 2.
