To provide a method and an apparatus for recovering phosphoric acid by which high purity phosphoric acid capable of being transported in a high concentrate liquid state and useful as a recovered material is efficiently and inexpensively recovered from phosphoric ion-containing water with simple structure and operation.
The phosphoric acid is recovered by cation-exchanging the phosphoric ion-containing water, then bringing the phosphoric ion-containing water into contact with an anion exchange resin to adsorb phosphoric ion, regenerating the anion exchange resin on which phosphoric ion is adsorbed with alkali to elute phosphate, electrolyzing the eluted phosphate solution in the electrolyzer 7 to recover phosphoric acid from the anode 11 side and to recover the alkali from the cathode 12 side to circulate them to the phosphate elution step.
