Title:
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REGENERATING CATALYST
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02298356
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To efficiently regenerate a catalyst by a method wherein a waste catalyst is allowed to fall in the porous fluidizing part in the first-third treatment chambers under gravity and treatment gases are allowed to flow through the respective treatment chambers to successively remove an oil component, a sulfur component and a carbon component.

CONSTITUTION: A waste catalyst 1 is allowed to fall through the porous fluidizing part in the first treatment chamber 11 under gravity and passed so as to traverse the fluidizing part 21 while oxygen with concn. of 3% or less is allowed to flow through the treatment chamber 11 at 200-380°C to remove an oil component. Next, the waste catalyst 1 is allowed to fall through the porous fluidizing part 37 in the second treatment chamber 12 continuing to the treatment chamber 11 under gravity and passed so as to cross the fluidizing part 37 while oxygen with concn. of 1.0-5.0% is allowed to flow through the treatment chamber 12 at 300-450°C to remove a sulfur component. Subsequently, the waste catalyst 1 is allowed to fall through the porous fluidizing part 48 in the third treatment chamber 13 continuing to the treatment chamber 12 under gravity and passed so as to cross the fluidizing part 38 while oxygen with concn. of 2.0-10% is allowed to flow through the treatment chamber 13 at 350-600°C to remove a carbon component.
