To enable regeneration work in a field and to attain certainty and simplification of the work in regenerating a liquid fire extinguisher, especially a clean type fire extinguisher.
An apparatus for regenerating the liquid fire extinguisher includes: a means which is connected to a radiation port of the fire extinguisher for storing substantially the whole amount of a discharged chemical agent in a fire extinguisher body in a recovery container; a means which is connected to the radiation port of the fire extinguisher for feeding a fixed amount of chemical agent into the fire extinguisher body to refill the body; a means which is connected to the radiation port of the fire extinguisher before the means for storing substantially the whole amount of a discharged chemical agent in the fire extinguisher body, as necessary, for pressure-feeding test gas at a preset pressure to thereby test the internal withstanding pressure in the fire extinguisher body; and a means for inspecting the gas pressure accumulation amount in the refilled fire extinguisher body. Thus, in the age-based inspection and replacement of a chemical agent, removal of a head part of the fire extinguisher is not required to enable field work without transporting the extinguisher to a producer's factory.
