Abstract:
PURPOSE:To surely remove scales and to facilitate a picking operation by spraying superhigh pressure water toward the tension working surface of a bent hot rolled stock to remove the scales which has adhered to the surface of the stock. CONSTITUTION:At least two adjacent rolls of a plurality of a breaking rolls are arranged to face each other in a roll bend scale breaker. A nozzle 7 is arranged suitably in a width direction to a working surface 6 of high tension being a tensile side of a hot rolled stock 5 bent by this pair of breaking rolls 2A, 2B. A cut-off roll 9 and a cut-off plate 10 are fitted respectively before and behind the point of this nozzle 7. In this structure, superhigh pressure water or superhigh pressure mixed with abrasive material is sprayed from the nozzle 7 to the working surface 6 to remove the scales on the surface of the stock 5. In this way, the scales can be removed surely and the surface property is kept fine.
