Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a roll forming product having excellent accuracy and strength by rolling a work back and forth along working faces of form rolling tools while pushing the work between rolling tools.

CONSTITUTION: A material 56 to be worked is interposed between a pair of flat dies 52, 54 provided with working faces opposing at specified distance and driven relatively back and forth in parallel. Then, the peripheral face is brought into pressure contact with working faces of dies 52, 54, and the material 56 is rolled back and forth along the working faces. Ruggedness corresponding to rugged shape of the working faces is formed on the peripheral face of the material 56. Thus, a roll formed product excellent in accuracy and strength can be obtained.
