Abstract:

To provide a method and an apparatus for searching misregistration and/or register shift in a body to be printed, wherein influence of doubling is considered when measuring misregistration and/or register shift in the body to be printed and such misregistration is sufficiently searched by one measuring process.

The method is used for searching misregistration and/or register shift in the body to be printed when produced with a multicolor printing machine using a computer. In the method, influence of doubling by the computer is considered in measuring misregistration in the body to be printed, wherein doubling of at least one preceding printing image and/or following printing image is recursively considered by the computer when measuring the body to be printed.
