While both ends of a long product material 1 are gripped by a pair of chucking devices 2, 8, the chucking device 2 at one end is attached to a metal die 4, and the chucking device 8 at the other end is moved by a cylinder 52 to apply tension to the material 1. The metal die 4 is supported by a universal joint 64 to be able to tilt, and cylinders 68, 69 are driven to tilt the metal die 4. The metal die 4 is rotated round a rotational shaft 62, rotating the shaft 62 by a motor 72, and then the material 1 is pressed onto the metal die 4 to be stretch formed.
